Farm Manager

Melanie is our farm manager.  Melanie takes care of the day-to-day business of the farm operations.  Her duties include: phone, fax and email correspondence, horse husbandry inclusive of deworming, vaccination and dentition schedules and all veterinary and farrier appointments.  She manages the scheduling and oversees the barn staff.  Melanie handles the accounting and billing for each customer.  Her role also includes working closely with Wylda, helping Wylda maximize her time and skills.  Melanie is always the first person to go to with any question and from there you will be given the information you require.




Lesson Program

Miss Wendy Cameron is the Maple Leaf Meadows Program Coordinator and Instructor.  She comes with a great deal of horse experience in competition and training.  Wendy'ss roles include lessons for youth riders and adult amateurs, training young horses, and all basic horse husbandry education.


Head Dressage Trainer

Mrs. Wylda Kristel-Grinde is the head trainer and business partner of Maple Leaf Meadows.  Her roles include overseeing the daily operation of the farm and wrking closely with her ownership partners.  She maintains all duties associated with managing a successful equine business.

Wylda is a NCCP Level III coach, holds a BSc. in Animal Sciences from WSU and is an FEI Dressage rider.  Her formal education is in Equine Reproductive Physiology and Animal Sciences.  The role she is most passionate about is her daily involvement with her horses and her students.  She trains 5 to 6 days per week and conducts between 12 - 17 sessions per day between riding and teaching.

Wylda has a diverse background in the horse world creating a very unique "dressage queen".  Wylda was raised on a cattle and horse ranch, which equipped her with the skills and the confidence to train extremely difficult horses as well as start young horses.  She has an array of training techniques and is contantly seeking out information she doesn't have in order to assist her horses and clients in the best learning experience she can provide.

Her equestrian goals are to compete internationally at Grand Prix and ride for a berth on the Canadian Olympic Dressage Team.  Her current coaches are Edward Gal, Nicole Werner, Albrecht Heidemann and Crystal Kroetch.
